Fiber Artist

At an early age, I was taught sewing and recycling and understood both to be valuable life skills. As a parent, I taught each of my sons to sew and recycle, and as a teacher, I integrated sustainability, climate change, and environmental protection into my daily lesson plans.

Combining these skills, I now rescue leftover fabrics and threads from quilters, sewers and crafters, and use their remnants to create beautiful and unique pieces of art. Each of my designs is functional, totally sustainable, and eliminates waste being sent to landfills.

Passionate about producing and sharing my fiber art with the world, my purpose for each item is to teach others to recognize the value of what they have on hand. I also hope to inspire the repurposing and upcycling of available materials that might otherwise be thrown out.

It is increasingly vital that we all work together to avoid buying new items, and to reduce the trash we send to the landfills. By joining forces, we can make our planet, and ourselves, healthier and happier.
