Our artists are thrilled with ongoing opportunities to share their passion. Beginning in 2018, several artists from Community Artists Gallery & Studios have been volunteering to develop and teach classes for Craven Terrace, a neighborhood serving low-income residents.
All classes are free of charge, and supplies are provided. Participants were pleased to discover how this opportunity sparked their creativity! Many of the students return to explore art through a variety of projects: making mosaics, drawing, fabric dyeing, metal stamping, and more. In addition, artist Sandy Bruno leads free painting classes for developmentally challenged adults.
The free programs demonstrate the Community Artists Gallery and Studios’ commitment to service – part of our mission since our inception. Examples include the Epiphany School Exihibit, My Big Dream Project, and Habitat For Humanity art presentation.
