Emerging Artist Exhibition

Through July 31 – Upstairs in the CAGS Studios, Kress Mall

Gary Nelson

My first real “art” photograph was taken in New Zealand, when I was on tour with the Hues Corporation. I was shooting Kodak 5247 film, which was leftover movie film. It was repackaged for film cameras, and much less expensive, so it fit my budget.

I left the music industry and found my way into digital photography. Digital photography allowed me the to be in creative control of my photograph from beginning to end. I am now deeply involved with post processing using programs such as Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz filters. I love the editing process.
