Jennifer Haskins

North Carolina native, Jennifer Haskins, studied art education at UNC-Asheville. She taught art in public schools for 12 years, worked as the art program coordinator at the Tallahassee Senior Center and currently teaches art classes at Art House. She and her family moved to New Bern in January 2022.

Jennifer works out of her home studio making art and running her millinery business. She has been making ready-to-wear and custom hats and headwear for men and women using traditional millinery and blocking techniques for 11 years. She loves the sculptural qualities of hat-making and as a designer she takes pride in the details of each piece. Jennifer finds hat-making to be the perfect blend of design, sculpture, and functional art.

She is inspired by the way art, music, and fashion set trends and create a visual history for each generation and is eager to help you tell your story through the perfect accessory.
